Their story began in 2016 at the now closed College of St. Rose. They spent most of their time staying up late bonding over a shared enjoyment of movies. Meghan would always choose her favorite category, Thriller, and Aelijah would always suggest a classic. When Meghan said she had never seen it, he would let out the same reply You haven't seen this movie?!”, an eye-roll would follow and the movie would begin. This routine evolved into movie dates where their love began to grow. They opened up, letting each other experience who they really were. They met families who then became important pieces of, little by little weaving into the fabrics of each other's lives until one could not exist without the other. Through forced isolation, career changes, life and loss, their love continued to flourish until it culminated in a field of tulips with a simple “Yes”. Their story is one of resolve and commitment, of fun and happiness, and most importantly their assuredness of each other. They are proud to share their story, because what is a good story without people to share it with. Today they still have a thriller picked out as their first choice, and classic as their second, with comments and eye-rolls to follow, but they are happy to know this will be the movie they call life until the credits roll.
